ATTENDANCE

Grades 1-10:

All youth are required to attend every session.

If your child is unable to attend a session, please call the Religious Education Office to excuse him/her.  We take attendance for the safety and security of both the youth and parents. Calling in before the session begins helps reduce phone calls we must make as parents of absentees will be contacted unless the student is previously excused. 445-3387 ext 145.

CANCELLATION OF SESSIONS

If the Shakopee Public School System cancels classes due to bad weather, SARE sessions are automatically canceled for that afternoon and evening. If the Shakopee Public School System dismisses early because of poor weather, SARE will not have any sessions.

In the event that sessions need to be canceled (due to weather or other emergencies) announcements will be made through the Public Schools, on WCCO Radio(830AM)and WMNN Radio(1330AM). Close contact is maintained with the highway department and weather bureau in order to make decisions as early as possible.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

A parent is the most visible and primary role model for a child. From early childhood, children imitate what they see and hear. They reflect to others what they receive from people in their lives. You are the most important people in their life.

The SARE Program supports you in this role through its Religious Education Program for Grades 1-12.
